Lil Tjay has lashed out at fellow rap star Offset, speculating that the Migos member has an uncontrollable gambling habit while claiming that he owes him $10,000 for a loan.

On Wednesday (Jan. 8), Lil Tjay went live and addressed his issues with Offset, claiming the rapper is struggling financially before detailing the root of their rift.

“Why I diss Offset? Offset broke,” the “Zoo York” rapper said in response to a fan inquiring about the tension between the two artists. Lil Tjay then alleged that he had given Offset a $5,000 loan after witnessing him at a casino attempting to gather money from friends and strangers to continue gambling.

“I’ll tell y’all a true story, I seen the ni**a in the casino. He was popped, he was panicking,” the Bronx native recalled. “He was asking random people for cash apps, he was broke.”

However, Lil Tjay remembers Offset being unable to acquire aditional funds at the time, as he failed to receive a response amid his requests. “I don’t know why but nobody was answering his phone call,” Lil Tjay added. “He must got a gambling addiction.”

The 23-year-old says that he offered to give Offset $5,000, which he says the rapper took, heading directly back to the casino to gamble some more. “That’s Offset. I’m good on my money,” Lil Tjay said of his reasoning at the time. “I’m not worries about this ni**a, I got mad bread.”

Yet, Lil Tjay allegedly witnessed Offset receiving another $3,000 while at the casino, including $1,000 he borrowed from “a random lady.” Lil Tjay, who gave the “Clout” rapper another $5,000, says he’s never received a payment back from Offset, despite the encounter occurring some years ago.

“I see like 13 bands in loans,” the “Pop Out” creator estimates of the money Offset borrowed in that instance. “I don’t know who got paid back that day, you feel me. Word to my mother, this ni**a’s ducked me for so long, boy. Mind you, I’m 23 and this is ‘raindrop, drop-top,’ Cardi B husband.”

Lil Tjay also added context to the threatening messages he sent Offset via social media, which he says were prompted by the Father of 4 creator’s reaction to being called out about the money owed.

“I’m only talking crazy because he was talking crazy,” Tjay said of the exchange. “Like what? He want to talk crazy to me over my bread.”

The rapper said he considered physically assaulting Offset “on his birthday,” but decided against that line of action due to the strength of his character.

“But you know what it is, I’m, deadass a good type of ni**a,” the hitmaker said. “I was too sturdy, you heard. It was like I couldn’t even do that to him.”
