Lil Uzi Vert is sorry to fans for not giving their all to the music.

In a recent conversation with the rapper for Complex, they explained the “new era” that the release of Eternal Atake 2 starts. When asked about what Uzi era that the world is about to receive, they revealed that they weren’t even sure.

“I told you when this all happened, I was in outer space. Now [that] I'm back, I'm going to digest everything right now and experience it with the fans,” explained Uzi. “And I apologize in advance to a lot of my fans. I knew that they all felt the energy that I was giving out, and basically, I wasn't giving it my all. And now I'm back giving it my all, and I don't know why it wasn't [before].”

“Maybe it was that one fan, before I deleted my Instagram, they was like, ‘Uzi, you need to get back on your shit.’” Uzi continued. “And that was the last thing I saw, and it was just like a Rocky movie, and I was just figuring everything out. I love my fans, they’re all I got.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Uzi expressed that they don’t have any issues with Ebro — even if the radio personality recently said that they never reached rockstar status.

“Ebro is a good guy, that’s my mans,” Uzi said. “I got a different respect for people that's in hip-hop and anybody who's my elder. So he has the right, and is entitled to his opinion because he's definitely a staple in music no matter what…When I say rockstar, he’s looking at the fireworks, he looking at all that stuff. Not the lifestyle, and I understand that. And I wasn't, especially me being younger, I wasn't able to explain exactly what I meant.”

Uzi dropped Eternal Atake 2 on Nov. 1. Upon its release, many fans were surprised to see the pop group Big Time Rush on the LP. All of the band’s members appeared on the song “The Rush” except for Carlos PenaVega. His wife, Alexa, hopped on X to clarify why he wasn’t on it.

"Hey friends. Wanted to hop on here to address something. We work super hard to protect our values and the things we believe in especially when it comes to creating content that is mostly family friendly or what one would consider 'safe'," Alexa posted. "Today a song was released that featured the BTR boys minus Carlos because it did not align with his values. While thankful for the opportunity Carlos kindly passed.”

“Unfortunately it was not credited properly and is currently being represented as a BTR feature,” she continued. “Not a Kendall, Logan and James feature."

In response to her message, Carlos wrote, “Love u my angel. Thank you for always having my back.”
