Lily Allen has shared an insight into her 2025 goals following her reported split from her husband of five years, David Harbour.
The Smile hitmaker, 39, married the Stranger Things star, 49, in 2020, and Lily shares daughters Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, with her ex-husband, Sam Cooper.
After quashing rumours that they had gone their separate ways earlier this year, Lily was spotted on the dating app Raya in December, and on a new episode of her Miss Me? podcast, she didn’t deny the rumours, instead further fueling them.
Sitting down with her co-host and long-time friend Miquita Oliver, the musician said this year she intends to focus on herself for a bit before releasing a new album, which would be her fifth studio album and first record in over six years.
While she said she hasn’t got any concrete plans as of yet and is set to star in the production of Ibsen’s play Hedda Gabler in June, she explained to her co-host her 2025 intentions.
‘Firstly, I’m going to go and get my head straight for a bit,’ she started.
‘I’m doing a little bit of work on myself in this beginning period of the year, then I’m going to do some more writing, then I’m going to do my play – hopefully get an album out by the end of the year.’
The news came as a shock to Miquita, likely as the star hasn’t released music since 2018 when she put out her fourth studio album No Shame, which debuted at number eight on the UK Albums Chart, becoming her fourth to do so.
Lily went on to share her other 2025 goals, adding: ‘I think I’m going to try and be less of a narcissist in 2025.’
She continued: ‘I need to be more empathetic. I’ve been quite wrapped up in myself and victimhood lately and I’m ready to move on.’
It comes just weeks after the singer admitted she was scared to make music in case it was too vulnerable.
‘I only really want to tell the truth, and I think that if I really go there, then I have to like really reveal some stuff. I’m scared of doing that,’ she said.
‘And then I can’t bear the idea of doing that and then putting it out and no-one noticing. But that’s because I’m like a greedy narcissist.’
Lily appears to have had a difficult few months after a source unconnected to the British singer shared that they had spotted her on a dating app frequently used by major stars.
Showing a picture of her profile to DailyMail.com, they revealed that her bio says she is ‘looking for someone to start therapy with’ and indicates that she’s ‘visiting Los Angeles from New York’.
However, it’s believed that Lily is not currently seeking dates because she is not yet divorced and ‘takes marriage very seriously’.
Lily and David, whose marriage has reportedly been on the rocks in recent months, originally met on Raya.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2023, Lily spoke candidly about her first encounter with David, with his profile picture on the app being him in costume as Chief Jim Hopper – but Lily failed to recognise him.
‘I didn’t know who he was,’ she said. ‘I thought he was just, like, a sexy policeman from a reality TV show.’
