Lisa Snowdon has opened up about her past relationships, sharing her true feelings about one of her ex-boyfriends, who she dated for five years, Hollywood actor George Clooney

TV host Lisa Snowdon has opened up about her five-year romance with Hollywood heavyweight George Clooney.

Reflecting on their relationship from 2000 to 2005, Lisa, 53, assured that the renowned actor was not among "one of the very evil" individuals she had been involved with in the past.

Speaking to The i, Lisa confessed to a pattern of attracting "in a cycle of attracting narcissistic characters, the wrong people", which often left her feeling "disappointed, hurt, and just used". She then hinted at a "high profile person" she dated for five years, widely believed to be Clooney, now 63.

This isn't the first time Lisa has shared insights into her relationship with the Ocean's 11 and Batman star. In an interview with The Sunday Times, she detailed how they met while filming a Martini advert, sparking a connection that led to dating.

However, Lisa revealed there was more to their early days than just a commercial shoot. She said: "I met George Clooney on a TV commercial in Barcelona, but we also spent a lot of time in Los Angeles."

She continued: "I was back and forth to LA for photoshoots and the BBC show LA Pool Party. We once stayed in a great apartment in Santa Monica looking on to the beach. I also got an apartment in Venice."

"George was charming, a really nice man, good fun and we had a great time. It was quite wild. Sometimes I think it will be written on my tombstone - 'George Clooney once dated Lisa Snowdon'."

While the memories of her five-year spell with Clooney are cherished, Snowdon's heart now beats for her fiancé, George Smart. The couple got engaged in 2017 after kindling their romance in 2014.

Despite looking forward to matrimonial bliss, the presenter has expressed some natural apprehensions about tying the knot, especially considering her background. She told The Mirror: "Deep down, I do know it wouldn't but then I think, 'Well my mum and dad's marriage didn't last'."

Additionally, she voiced concerns influenced by opinions from others: "Some people say, 'Don't do it because it changes things. So there's 90 per cent of me that knows nothing would change, but a tiny hint of reservation where I think it would."

Nonetheless, Lisa eagerly awaits the day when she can proudly refer to her beau as "my husband" rather than just "my fiancé".
