Instead of clapping back at Antonio Brown for his Ozempic comment about her, Lizzo decided to reference it in a new post.
Shortly after the Presidential election, Lizzo shared a video of her writing on a piece of paper in which she sent love to the country as emotions ran high following the results. Retired NFL player Antonio Brown, known for his unfiltered comments, reposted the video, writing, “She hold the pen like she hold her ozempic shot…..”
In a recently shared post, Lizzo referenced his comments, writing, “Holding life like an Ozempic pen..😝”
Back in September, Lizzo disclosed to the world that she’d lost weight after exercising and changing her diet. Her explanation didn’t matter — people excused her of using the weight loss drug Ozempic to do so.
Lizzo hasn’t let the accusations stop her — in fact, she’s having fun with them. For Halloween, she dressed up as a tube of 'LizzOzempic’ from an episode of South Park that aired in May in which the drug was prescribed as an alternative to Ozempic.
Earlier that month, Lizzo opened up about her weight loss journey and a recent moment in which she overindulged — and she felt guilty about it.
The singer posted a video on TikTok detailing her brief slip into binge eating. “I overate yesterday and im (sic) feeling really bad about it,” read the message over a clip of Lizzo looking at herself in the camera. "I'm trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment. And if my body deserves comfort then my brain deserves comfort too."
Dubbed over the video was a soundbite from the poet Soulxsigh in which he relays, "You did good today, really good. You might not see it, you might think it was just another day but it wasn't. Every step you took today was a step forward no matter how small."
Lizzo captioned the video with an encouraging message to the people out there dealing with something similar: "If you’re going through this ur not alone ❤️."
