Loki star Jack Veal has broken his silence on a family rift which he says has led to his homelessness plight.

The 17-year-old actor, who played Kid Loki in Disney and Marvel’s hit series Loki, which stars Tom Hiddleston, has made a desperate plea for the "system to help him out" as he says he is without a home just three weeks before Christmas.

Since the star left his family home in north London four months ago, he has been "sofa surfing", staying at his grandparents, as well as living rough in the trailer van and sleeping alongside a canal.

"I don't want revenge against my mum and dad, but I want the system to help me, I just can't go back there after what's happened between them and me," Jack, who was born in London, said.

His mum has reportedly been in touch since Jack publicised his plight but the teenager has refused to go back home, it is understood. In his first media interview since he became homeless, Jack alleges he had been kicked out of home previously after he was caught doing drugs. He now insists he is clean.

Jack told the Daily Mail he is liaising with social services in Islington, north London, but said they have encouraged him to return home. He said: "So I'm going to have to be street homeless despite the fact that I've been put under care... and they're still refusing to accommodate me because they don't believe home is unsafe... It's f***ing ridiculous. I cannot f***ing believe it."

The actor has documented his plight in a series of TikTok videos this week as Christmas looms. In his first video on Monday about his situation, the Marvel star previously said: "Hi. I'm a famous actor, I'm 17, and I'm homeless.

"I struggle with mental health. I have autism, ADHD, and am being screened for bipolar and psychosis. I can't stay at my grandparents. I have nowhere else to go, and I need help.

"There has been no stability in my life for the past few months, it's been all over the place. I even lived down by the canal a few nights and this time of year it's not pleasant I can tell you."

Many people dream of rising to fame for fortune, but achieving it doesn't always guarantee leaving financial worries behind. For instance, in January 2021, actor Shaun Williamson, best known for playing Barry in EastEnders, explained that he was taking part in reality TV shows to "pay the mortgage," admitting that times were tough.
