Louise Thompson and her fiancé, Ryan Libbey, were in tears as they recalled their terrifying trip to the hospital in November.
The Made In Chelsea star, 34, who has a stoma bag following years of battling with ulcerative colitis, had emergency surgery before going into septic shock, in the latest of health woes for the mum-of-one.
Speaking about the ordeal on the podcast she hosts with Ryan, He Said, She Said, Louise was overcome with emotion as she discussed the ordeal for the first time.
Recalling the moment she was admitted for surgery, she mused: "Like everything just grinds to a halt doesn't it?" "If you want to, maybe you could let the listeners know exactly what happened", Ryan suggested.

Wiping tears from his eyes, Ryan, 34, asked: "Do you feel unlucky?" With her voice breaking, Louise begins: "Umm..." Sharing a teaser clip of the episode on Wednesday, the columnist wrote: "Back on the old podcast this morning. You can listen on your preferred platform. Just look for ‘He said, She said’ or maybe my name. L x. Kindness only please."
Louise's latest trip to hospital posed a huge setback for her health as Ryan admitted on their podcast: "I don’t know how much more she can take."
Explaining that his partner had to have another operation, he said in November: "Sadly Louise is not here this week. She had to go back into hospital almost two weeks ago for another emergency operation in the same tummy area that she's been recovering from since earlier this year with her stoma surgery. It was completely unexpected."
Admitting he was struggling with the reality star's latest health setback, Ryan continued: "I can't believe we're back in this situation. My heart beat is skipping around all over the place which is an indication of how heavy and raw it all feels. It's very unexpected and a difficult pill to swallow."
Revealing that Louise had been rushed to A&E at 3.30am nine days ago before suffering from septic shock, he concluded: "It's completely broken me. Her recovery has been up and down. Post-surgery she was in septic shock, which shows the severity of how bad things got."
Louise has spoken candidly about her health woes after suffering an agonising birth with her son, Leo-Hunter, in 2021. The reality star and columnist had to undergo an emergency caesarean, but ended up losing three-and-a-half litres of blood when doctors failed to stop a haemorrhage for over three hours.
She was later told that her womb had torn, which had caused the bleeding, and she recalled everyone feeling distressed. She now has a stoma due to her long-term battle with ulcerative colitis, but is determined to be open about her health to help others.
Speaking about her health during a chat on Loose Women in September, she said: "No one really knew how to support me ... I couldn't function at all. The lights were on but no one was home. Someone had turned a dimmer switch on my entire life. It's not just buy a new dress, have a cup of tea, have a bath. All of your senses are off."
