Curtis Pritchard has revealed that Amy Hart "taught" him a "lesson" as their romance fell apart on Love Island almost six years ago, ahead of his return on All Stars.

Curtis, now 28, was coupled-up with Amy, now 31, for much of his time on the ITV2 show in 2019. They however parted ways weeks into their romance after Casa Amor, where he had shown interest in new islander Jourdan Riane, now 29. As their romance came to an end, Amy shared her thoughts on how Curtis had treated her in a scene that went viral. At one point, she said: "If someone likes you they want to have a cuddle in bed with you in the morning."

He replied: "I know and I also want to be the person that gets up and makes everyone a coffee so everyone's ready for the morning." Curtis has now been asked about his coffee remark ahead of appearing on the new series of Love Island: All Stars, which launches next week. Discussing the comment in an interview with ITV, he said: "It follows me everywhere!"

The professional dancer then shared that the experience has been a "lesson" to him though. He teased: "In hindsight, if I do find a girl this time, I will perhaps cuddle her in bed rather than make coffee … so Amy taught me a lesson." When asked why he wanted to return, Curtis said: I feel like I'm in a different stage in my life. The idea of settling down is a serious idea in my life right now." He said: "I haven't found my true love … that sounds so cheesy doesn't it."

The former Celebs Go Dating star added: "So, I thought, let's give it another go. It was great fun last time; a lot of emotions. I feel excited to go back. I'm going to have a great fun time and hopefully leave with someone. It's exciting."

Curtis - who dated Maura Higgins for eight months after parting ways with Amy - was unveiled as part of the line-up for the new series of All Stars on Tuesday. It comes following reports that he split from his partner Sophie Sheridan just weeks ago.

A source told the Sun: "Curtis split from Sophie a few weeks ago after the pair decided they were better off as friends. [...] It came at the right time, as Love Island bosses were also desperate to get him back on the show for All Stars." They added: "He loved doing Love Island [the] first time around and now that he's single it's come at a great time for him."

Love Island: All Stars returns for its second series on Monday from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
