Tommy Fury opens up on why he snubbed I'm A Celebrity

Love Island bosses have revealed that Tommy Fury was tapped up for the second series of All Stars which is set to launch next week.

The boxer, now flying solo after Molly-Mae Hague penned a heart-wrenching 'goodbye' post last August, has been in the spotlight since their split.

But as the New Year's Eve fireworks faded, snaps of Tommy and Molly-Mae locking lips hit the headlines, hinting at a rekindled flame. However, The Mirror has revealed ITV bosses were keen to get Tommy back in the villa with other legendary singletons for another shot at love.

Executive producer Mike Spence dished out that Tommy was indeed asked to join the All Stars crew. He said: "I don't know if we approached Molly but we do ask everyone who is single. We make the call, invite them to audition and then pick."

Despite whispers of him joining I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Tommy gave a hard pass to returning to Love Island, reports the Mirror. Recent pics of him smooching Molly Mae, the mother of his child Bambi, seem to seal the deal on their romantic reunion.

Producer Spence had a bit of a giggle when he broached the subject of reality faves Molly and Tommy potentially returning to the show, quipping: "If Molly and Tommy would like to come back here together we'd love them."

He laughed at the thought of season's past flame rekindling their romance on telly: "What if Molly and Tommy turned up on night one!" He even suggested they could make it a family affair: "That would be interesting. We'll get Bambi here too. We can build a creche," he chortled.

The much-anticipated docu-series 'Molly Mae: Behind It All' is expected to reveal juicy insights into Molly's split with beau Tommy, though the rumour is that we might just see them patch things up. Sources are buzzing that both will feature in the show which is set to drop on Prime Video next week.

In a heart-tugging trailer, Molly said: "All I ever wanted was to get married. Suddenly, overnight, every part of my life changed. The last couple of months has been like the worst couple of months of my life. I am angry with him. I am very hurt. Sometimes it just really hits you that I'm in this alone now."

Post-split, Tommy has wrestled with rumours of playing away from home, slamming such gossip as cutting deep. In heartfelt words he said: "The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this."
