Islander Kaz Crossley's family has subtly criticised ITV for her limited airtime on Love Island following her recent backlash.
In an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked: "How are kaz's family feeling watching her?" Kaz's family replied: "Everyone loves her and wants to see more of her! Her mum said she doesn't know anyone else and often doesn't understand what they talk about but she still watches of course!"
Initially, she formed a promising connection with Curtis Pritchard, but their budding relationship was abruptly interrupted when Ekin-Su Culculoglu chose to couple up with Curtis, leaving Kaz single. Undeterred, Kaz embraced her single status, engaging in a "friends with benefits" arrangement with fellow contestant Luca Bish. This development sparked mixed reactions among viewers, with some expressing discomfort over the situation.
Fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter with one user penning: "Did Kaz just offer a FWB to Luca or ????" Whilst another wrote: "Kaz is moving real desperate like girl did you lose your self esteem with your hair? you don't have to force it with Luca." A third penned: "The downfall of Kaz is wild. She went from having Josh screaming 'who made that?' on Season 4 to now saying that her and Luca can be friends with benefits??"
The star also attracted criticism for her awkward clash with Casey O'Gorman moments after he entered the villa as a bombshell. She also divided opinion when she took Ronnie Vint into the Secret Garden and shared a couple of secret snogs – despite him being coupled up with her friend of five years Elma Pazar.

ITV)Kaz opened up about her hair loss and how it changed her outlook on life during an emotional chat earlier this week. She spoke to bombshell Ron Hall - who later chose to couple up with her - about her experiences over the past few years. "After everything that’s happened to me on my journey, it’s made me who I am and made me do the things I do now, you know? Even like shaving my hair off, it’s because I had alopecia. I shaved it off for charity," she revealed.
"No way! What charity?" Ron asked, with Kaz referring to the Little Princess Trust as she shared: "It’s a charity that makes wigs for children going through alopecia and cancer."
After Ron said her actions were "amazing," Kaz coyly said: "Yeah, now I embrace the short hair." Ron didn’t hold back in his response, exclaiming: "It’s sexy as f**k, it’s fit as f**k."
Kaz’s choice to embrace her new look comes after she previously admitted to FUBAR Radio: "I feel like a boy. I'd be lying if I said that I felt super confident or I love it. It's weird for me to not have my hair but you know if it means that I take a bit of my confidence away to give these girls their confidence, then I'll do that."

ITV2)In 2023, Kaz hinted that stress is the main trigger for her alopecia, though it can also be influenced by injuries, illness and environmental factors. "I became consumed with sadness every time I looked in the mirror and made it worse in my head," she said in an Instagram post at the time.
"...Even if my mental health is in a better place now, no one talks about how hard it is to navigate feeling 'better', the PTSD and feeling of anxiety thinking that something bad will happen.
"It’s a s*** feeling not feeling like the person you were before. It’s also s*** being aware you don’t ever want to feel like that again and everything you do is consumed by trying to stay happy and positive."
