Lucas Glover once again railed against the current state of the PGA Tour during the latest broadcast of his show on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio. The veteran player analyzed the reduction of fields that will be implemented starting next season, and invited former professional golfer and Golf Channel commentator Johnson Wagner to offer his opinion as well.

Glover once again rejected the intention to move to smaller fields and criticized PGA Tour leadership for not looking at the issue from all angles.

"If that's the way we're gonna do it, then why even have a board?," Glover said, per Golfweek. "Why even have a PAC [Player Advisory Council]? Why even have these things? And Wags [referring to Wagner], I can say that I think your voice and my voice has a little bit of weight because we've been on both sides. We've seen it from the good side. We've seen it from the fighting-to-keep-our-card side."

"I feel like if you have those perspectives, those opinions, you're a little bit more open-minded to the greater good for the membership," he added, "not just the top 10, 20, or 30 even. And that's the biggest reason I've been so adamant against this 'losing cards' and 'shorter fields' and all that, because it hurts the bottom and it doesn't give the bottom a chance to climb that ladder."

Johnson Wagner also opposed the reduction of fields, arguing that the measure could eliminate stories of underdogs beating top players.

"I don't wanna watch the same 60 guys play all the time," Wagner said "I wanna watch Jake Knapp win in Mexico. I wanna watch Aldrich Potgieter win this week in Mexico. I like those stories, and those guys become stars. Those guys become stars from winning those smaller events."

Lucas Glover has repeatedly voiced his opposition to reduced fields as a solution to slow play on the PGA Tour. Recently, he offered a list of eight measures to address the problem without reducing the tour's membership.

His suggestions include the use of distance measuring devices (DMDs), the inclusion of bunker rakes in every group, the elimination of honorary observers and the banning of golf carts, among others.

Glover added to his proposals a ban on the green-reading technique known as AimPoint, saying it's "rude" and has no real effect on putting quality. His comments prompted Collin Morikawa to respond by suggesting the banning of long putters, a controversial type of club used by several players, including Glover himself.
