Although Luigi Mangione and Diddy are both in one of the USA' most notorious jails, it doesn't appear the two are being held in the same unit.
The duo are currently being held at MDC Brooklyn, but according to TMZ, they are not in the same jail unit and are being held in totally different cell blocks.
This comes after reports last week suggested the two are being held in the same protective jail unit. Instead, the outlet pointed out that the two have not been in contact with one another since Mangione was brought to the jail.
Luigi was extradited from Pennsylvania and booked into MDC Brooklyn last week as he faces murder charges in the slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
As for Diddy, he has been locked up in the jail since his September arrest for his sex trafficking case.
"For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss internal security procedures or the conditions of confinement for any individual, including housing assignments," the Federal Bureau of Prisons told TMZ.
Mangione pleads not guilty
On Monday morning Mangione pleaded not guilty to 11 state charges, including first-degree murder, 2nd-degree murder, crime of terrorism and multiple weapons charges, in a New York State court.
Prosecutors stated they would look to expedite the discovery process, even going so far as to share information with the defense.
"I have never seen a case with such volume of evidence, aside from the issue of the quality of the evidence," prosecutor Joel Seidemann said during the hearing.
"This is not a usual case in terms of the thousands of hours of video."
Members of the public - including two dozen women and six men - were in in four rows of the courtroom to watch the hearing. Outside the courthouse, protestors rallied in support of Mangione while waiving posters that read "people over profit" and "health care is a human right."
