Luigi Mangione, the man charged in New York with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, yelled about “injustice in the system” while being escorted into his extradition hearing on Tuesday, December 10.
“It’s completely out of touch. It’s an insult to the intelligence of the American people,” Mangione, 26, could be heard shouting as police escorted him inside a Pennsylvania courthouse, according to News Nation national correspondent Alex Caprariello.
It’s unclear what Mangione was referring to.
Mangione’s hearing comes after his arrest on Monday, December 9, in Pennsylvania. His hearing on Tuesday could lead to an extradition to New York, where the December 4 shooting of Thompson, 50, took place.
