All eyes will be on Luke Littler tonight as he hopes to bag a prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
The darts champion, 17, who shot to fame after bagging 10 trophies in in 2024, is one of the sport's hottest young talents. Named 'Luke the Nuke' because of his incredible skill at the oche, the teen's star is very much on the rise.
However, he attracted some backlash over his last relationship with beauty consultant, Eloise Milburn, due to their age gap. Five years his senior, Eloise was cruelly trolled online as some of Luke's legion of loyal fans accused her of being a 'gold digger' and only interested in fame.

eloise.___ / Instagram)Speaking out on behalf of her daughter, Amanda Milburn said she and her husband were very angry about the abuse being hurled in their direction, claiming: "That's a total pack of lies and disgusting. She's not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn't care about his money or his fame, she's with him because she likes him. It's as simple as that."
She added in the Daily Mail that Luke and Eloise's relationship was new and that the young couple should be allowed to "get on with things".
However, in June the pair called it a day as they were "struggling to make time for each other". A source told The Sun: “Luke and Eloise have broken up and it is still very raw. He is naturally very upset but they have agreed to stay friends.
“Luke and Eloise tried hard to make their relationship work but with his darts schedule, he is travelling non-stop and it has become increasingly difficult for them to spend quality time together."
Since their separation, Luke has been maintaining the momentum he started amassing during his extraordinary run to the World Darts Championship final.
However, he may have accidentally revealed he is dating again. Luke's fans all know he is, most probably, just as passionate about playing the new EA Sports FC game on his Xbox as he is darts. He recently played the game with the eccentric YouTuber Morgan Burtwistle, who is better known as 'Angry Ginge'.
During a live-streaming session, Burtwistle clocked a female voice he could hear from Luke's microphone. The cheeky streamer wasted no time in telling the thousands of viewers about the voice he heard.
Burtwistle said he and many viewers heard a female voice say: "I'm gonna try and get some sleep, because I'm so tired." The gamer pounced on the opportunity to grill the darts prodigy in front of an ever-growing crowd of listeners. He shouted: "Who the f*** is that? Who's that Luke? Who's that Luke? He's had a rotter there! Luke's had a rotter."
Creaking under the sudden spotlight, the Warrington native could only respond by saying "f*** sake" in exasperation. To add salt to the wound, Burtwistle added: "Let her get to bed, Luke. Come on."
