Founded in 2002, the Stockholm-based women’s and men’s fashion brand is known for its minimalist designs and a streetwear take on tailoring.
In the UK, the brand has one store in London’s Soho and is stocked by premium retailers including Selfridges and End Clothing. Globally, Our Legacy has stores in its native Stockholm, alongside Berlin and Seoul.
Through its minority stake investment, details of which were not disclosed, LVMH will support Our Legacy in entering new markets and expanding its physical store footprint.
LVMH Luxury Ventures Advisors CEO Julie Bercovy said: “Our Legacy is the epitome of what we could call the ‘quiet cool’ tendency, featuring a unique blend of contemporary minimalism and creative subversion.
“Drawing its inspiration from workwear and streetwear aesthetics, the brand incorporates functional and utilitarian elements into its designs while interpreting them in an elegant and sophisticated manner, notably with the use of artisanal finishes.
“I am resolutely convinced by its ability to push the boundaries of men’s and women’s fashion beyond its community of fans, while remaining true to its roots and identity.”
LVMH’s Luxury Ventures arm has also, in recent years, invested in US-based streetwear brands Aimé Leon Dore, in 2022, and Madhappy, in 2019.
