Mach-Hommy is gearing up for a major “first.”
On Friday, November 8, the rapper/producer announced he will be heading to the Lincoln Center for his first-ever live show in New York City. The one-night-only event is set to take place on November 27 inside Appel Room, where Mach-Hommy will perform his 2024 studio album, #RICHAXXHAITIAN.
“This rare, intimate show promises an unforgettable fusion of raw talent, rich storytelling, and the magic of live music at one of the city’s most iconic venues with the city skyline as the backdrop,” a press release read.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at 3 p.m. ET today at Jazz.org.
Mach-Hommy spoke about his career in an August sitdown with Complex, explaining why he rarely did live performances.
“I mean, same way I haven’t done a lot of interviews. I just feel like it just wasn’t time,” he said. “I think everything has its time in place. And now people might be like, ‘Damn, that’s a lot of interviews.’ Well, that’s the same shit y’all weird n***as said when I was dropping albums. ‘That’s a lot of albums.’ You know what I’m saying? It’s like, all right. A lot of albums, a lot of interviews. And guess what? A lot of fucking live shows. And it’ll happen in its own time. I’m getting ready to do some shows in September, so we’ll see. You’re invited.”
