The key to dressing like Margot Robbie in fall 2024? Dig out your summer staples.
Okay, her style is a bit more specific than that, but a noticeable pattern is beginning to emerge from the Barbie star's fall ‘fits that goes beyond elevated, preppy takes on comfortable classics. Since welcoming her first child with husband Tom Ackerly sometime in October, the new mom has been spotted in multiple looks that East Coasters may want to mimic in about six to seven months.
After Robbie was first spotted taking a stroll in a short-sleeved white blouse and barrel jean overalls earlier this month, the new mom was seen modeling button-down shirts as jackets on multiple outings with her family. On November 10, in particular, she paired the menswear staple with a crop top, shorts, and dad sandals.
However, she ditched layering altogether during a casual walk in Los Angeles on November 14, opting for a puff-sleeved black minidress and simple flats. Meanwhile, her walking partner was dressed in a cozy grey cowl-neck sweater, black pants and sneakers. You can see the photos here.

Fall dressing can be a confusing venture for those of us living in Los Angeles. Per the Weather Channel, temperatures in LA reached an average high of 73 degrees Fahrenheit on November 14, though they dropped as low as 36 degrees and hit a record high of 93 degrees.
As a West Coast transplant, I'll take any drop in temperature as an excuse to break out my favorite pair of suede boots and go-to leather bomber jacket, though I often find myself shedding layers the longer I spend in the LA sun. Perhaps that's why this image of Margot Robbie and her friend dressed for completely different weather conditions just makes sense.
