Girl Scout Cookie consumers were worried to hear the news that they are discontinuing two "fan favorite" flavors after the 2025 cookie season ends. Thankfully for people like Mark Consuelos, it's not the Samoa, or as he called it, "Samosa."
Kelly Ripa was discussing the news Wednesday on their show Live with Kelly and Mark when it turned into a cookie controversy. As she presented the news that they were discontinuing two flavories, Mark, terrified, responded, "No, no! Do not — if it’s the Samosa, I’m going to walk off-set right now."
While Samosas are fried South Asian and West Asian pastry snacks, he was, of course, talking about the coconut, caramel, and chocolate cookies. "It's not," Ripa confirmed adding, "I know they're calling them fan favorites, but I've never heard of these cookies."
After revealing it was the Smores and Toast-Yay cookies leaving the club, Ripa said she was going to buy cookies online, including Consuelos' "Samosas." "I'll get you some Samosas. I'll get some Peanut Butter Tagalongs, and I'll get, um, I'm going to get..." When the actor suggested she get "Thin Mints" Ripa admitted, "I don’t like Thin Mints. I don’t like them. There, I said it! I don’t like—" "
As the audience began to boo, Consuelos encouraged, "Boo her, boo her." "Shut up" Ripa jokingly said to the audience as she pretended to confront them. "You got booed," her husband said with a large smile on his face.
Since April 2023, the couple, who shares Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21, recently showed off their stunning NYC townhouse in the Upper East Side, have been making their live audience and at-home viewers crack up with their playful banter. After 28 years of marriage, their candid and hilarious stories make for great TV.
They are not afraid to throw each other under the bus either. Back in December, she revealed a shocking Christmas confession about Consuelos' gift-giving habits.
