There are growing worries about Matt LeBlanc's well-being a year after the passing of his Friends co-star Matthew Perry. Since Perry's death on October 28, 2023, LeBlanc has largely avoided public appearances, raising concerns among his close circle.
Reports indicate that some of his former Friends co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, have reached out in support, trying to ensure he feels supported and checked in on.
An appearance in September, during which he looked noticeably worn down, reportedly prompted some friends to rally around him.
Insiders shared with InTouch Weekly that Aniston and Cox, among others, are keeping a closer eye on him, encouraging regular visits.
"[Aniston's] been spending a lot of time with Matt at his home ... cooking for him, or just hanging out and watching movies, or sitting and chatting," the source noted.
"She's even stayed over a couple of times. And both she and Courteney have been in contact to ensure at least one of them is around to keep an eye on him."
Perry's passing a big blow
LeBlanc had a unique bond with Perry, as they were not only castmates but also real-life neighbors in Pacific Palisades. After Perry's passing, LeBlanc was among the first to publicly pay tribute, an indication of their close friendship.
"Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye," LeBlanc said.
"The times we had together are honestly among the favourite times of my life.
"It was an honour to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I'll never forget you. Never.
"Spread your wings and fly brother you're finally free. Much love. And I guess you're keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."
Since his last screen appearance in the 2021 Friends HBO reunion special, LeBlanc has taken a step back from acting, focusing on personal time.
