Prime Target is set to premiere on Apple TV+ tomorrow (Wednesday, January 22), with the first two episodes being released simultaneously to pique viewers' interest. The eight-part thriller will then follow the streaming platform's weekly release format.

Prime Target centres around Edward Brooks (played by Leo Woodall), a brilliant Cambridge maths student who finds himself embroiled in a vast global conspiracy. The fast-paced series, which also features David Morrissey, Stephen Rea, Sidse Babe Knudsen and Ali Suliman, among others, takes viewers on a thrilling journey across continents as Edward is pursued by mysterious forces trying to silence him.

Starring alongside British actor Woodall is rising nonbinary star Quintessa Swindell, who uses they/he pronouns. Swindell is perhaps best recognised for their role as teenager Tabitha Foster in Netflix's coming-of-age drama Trinkets, which explores biracial identities.

The 27 year old New Yorker's other credits include Anna in HBO's Euphoria and Laila in another HBO series, In Treatment. Their filmography includes Black Adam, Granada Nights, Master Gardener and Voyagers.

Prime Target represents one of Swindell's most significant roles to date and is set to thrust them into the limelight. Swindell has also ventured behind the camera, producing the short film The Lily, which was released in 2024, reports the Mirror.

The actor also featured in the piece, which was exhibited as a video installation in LA.

Posting on Instagram, they described the film, stating it was "originally shot in split screen format - The character study explores the lives of two Muay Thai fighters - once childhood friends coming together for one final fight."

They added: "Given the complex shared history between the two young women, the fight serves as a final callback and resolution to old wounds."

In addition to their acting career, Swindell has worked alongside renowned fashion designers, including Ann Demeulemeester, Thom Browne, and Celine.

Fans of Prime Target may have noticed the array of tattoos on coding genius Taylah and, according to Swindell's Instagram, it seems the ink belongs to the actor rather than the character.
