Another day, another breakup for Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. The former couple announced their most recent split just one month after they revealed they were expecting their first child together, but this was seemingly par for the course.
“Megan and MGK have broken up several times since the pregnancy was announced,” a source told Us Weekly in an article published on Tuesday, December 10. “This was just one of the bigger ones that people have heard about.”
The insider continued, “Their relationship is so full of passion and that leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways. Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.”
A separate source told the outlet that after breaking up in “late November,” Megan, 38, and Machine Gun Kelly, 34, “were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy.” However, the insider explained that the Jennifer’s Body star and the rapper were just “too hot-headed” and “fell back into their constant fighting.”
“They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together,” the source concluded.
Megan and MGK (whose real name is Colson Baker) first began dating in 2020, but their relationship has hit several rough patches. They met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020, and by that summer, they had both made their relationship Instagram official.
“I could feel that some wild s–t was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul, that something was going to come from that,” Megan told Lala Kent on her podcast “Give Them Lala” in July 2020.
A year and half later, the two got engaged in January 2022, and they celebrated by drinking one another’s blood. However, Megan hinted at trouble in paradise when she scrubbed her Instagram page of all traces of MGK in February 2023. The Expendables 4 star clarified days later that their split wasn’t caused by cheating.
“There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes, but is not limited to … actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons,” Megan wrote in a screenshot she shared via Instagram. “While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now.”
In April 2023, Megan and the “My Ex’s Best Friend” artist were spotted vacationing in Hawaii, hinting that they had potentially patched things up. By August of that same year, they had returned to planning their wedding. Megan and MGK were on-and-off over the next several months, but their relationship had seemingly turned a corner when she announced they were expecting their first child together in November.
One month later, TMZ reported that the couple had called it quits yet again after Megan reportedly found “upsetting” texts on MGK’s phone that led her to pull the plug on their relationship.
