The Duchess of Sussex showed kindness and appreciation while working on her Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan', according to someone close to the production who spoke to the I newspaper.
During the final day on set, the Duchess was said to have handed out gifts to the cast and crew, along with a heartfelt speech. "She gave a speech on the last day of filming and graciously gifted Our Place pans and wooden spoons for the entire crew and engraved them in her own handwriting," the source shared.
The insider also countered the narrative that Meghan is difficult to work with, affirming her easy-going nature on set. This act of generosity contrasts sharply with the ongoing barbs from President Trump aimed at both the Duchess and her husband Prince Harry, who now live in Montecito with their children.
In a provocative interview, Trump called the ex-'Suits' star "terrible" and when asked by the New York Post about removing Harry from the U.S., his response was: "I don't want to do that. I'll leave him alone."
He candidly bullishly tackled the dynamic within their marriage, saying: "He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible," reports the Mirror.
He further insinuated that Meghan dominates their relationship, with the quip: "I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose."
Meghan may choose not to react publicly to such comments now, but she has voiced her opinion on Trump in the past. Speaking back in 2016 on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, she remarked: "Yes, of course, Trump is divisive, think about female voters alone, right? ".
Reflecting on past political dynamics, Meghan observed: "I think it was in 2012 the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points; that is a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it, that is a huge chunk of it."
