Meghan Markle appears to have made a comeback to the public eye by setting up a personal Instagram account to share her thoughts.
The Duchess of Sussex has seemingly launched a new profile with the straightforward username 'meghan', featuring just one post so far, which is yet to receive Instagram's official blue tick verification.
In the video, the Royal and ex-actress is seen jogging on the beach before stooping to inscribe '2025' in the damp sand. As she claps the sand off her hands, Meghan chuckles and jogs away from the lens.
Although comments were disabled, the post has quickly attracted over 100,000 followers. This move comes after Meghan, known for her role in 'Suits', and her spouse Harry spread some holiday joy with their 2024 Christmas card, graced by a delightful family picture.
Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex delighted fans with a fresh image of their children, Archie, aged 5, and Lilibet, aged 3. One of the six images in their festive greeting shows the youngsters running towards their parents from behind.
The card captures a smiling Meghan looking at Archie as Harry welcomes Lili, echoing his recent comments about her long, red locks that resemble her brother's. "On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation," read the message on their card, reports the Mirror.
The collection also features five additional photos of Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, taken during their trips to Nigeria and Colombia this year. "We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year," the message concludes.
For Royal watchers, it was a rare opportunity to see the Sussexes' children, who were last seen in the couple's Netflix docuseries 'Harry and Meghan', released in December 2022. Almost five years after stepping back as senior royals, Harry and Meghan have continued the tradition of releasing their Christmas card photo, much like other members of the Royal Family.
The 2023 festive greeting showcased the Sussexes at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf - a joyful image with Harry looking stylish in a black shirt and jacket, and Meghan stunning in an elegant dark green strapless dress. While fans eagerly anticipate their card each year, the couple has occasionally chosen not to include their children in it.
A source previously told People that Harry is careful about publicising his children - not for secrecy, but to protect them from the limelight and potential threats.
"Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats."
The prince's concern for their normalcy and safety, particularly regarding abduction fears, is his top priority. "He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm. Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn't repeat itself," referencing the tragic death of Princess Diana.
