The Dallas Cowboys stunned the NFL world when it was announced that the team chose to move on from Mike McCarthy as head coach.

Initially, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated that it would be fine if other teams asked to interview McCarthy. However, when the Chicago Bears asked to interview the head coach, their request was ignored and then denied.
The denial led to many believing that the Cowboys and McCarthy would hammer out a multi-year deal. That was not the case, as Jones revealed both parties chose to mutually part ways.
Naturally, McCarthy's exit was likely to upset players on the Cowboys team, and one such player has now reacted to the bombshell news. Star defensive end Micah Parsons spoke about the news on his podcast, revealing a much starker reality for Dallas following the McCarthy exit.
Parsons gets into McCarthy's accolades and the relationships he has built with the players in the locker room, before stating that "It is devastating."
Following this comment, Parsons gets into the "interesting" aspects of the departure, while also stating that the players and coaches exiting the team will lead to a "complete reset."
"It's going to be very interesting due to free agents, the coaching, it's going to be a complete reset. So, it's going to be a completely challenging offseason."
Parsons then backs Jerry Jones and the organization while offering more of a positive outlook to his "reset" comments.

The Cowboys not only allowed McCarthy to leave, but they also revealed they have been speaking to Deion Sanders regarding their now-vacant head coach position. Sanders also initially stated he would not leave the Colorado football program for the NFL, but that has changed dramatically in the last day.
Sanders even went so far as to address the conversations. He stated:
"To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it's intriguing," Sanders told ESPN on Monday night. "I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it's intriguing."
"But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body, and the community."
Sanders has not outright stated he would leave Colorado, but he also didn't shoot down the idea of taking the Cowboys job. What he has proven is his dynamic coaching leads to success.
Sanders turned around Jackson State and then did the same for Colorado. Players are drawn to him, and it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if he was to accept the Cowboys head coach job.
Though Parsons did express a stark reality of a "reset," his tune might change a little if Sanders were to come in. This is just speculation, of course, but "Prime" is certainly an exciting figure in sports.
