Michael Bolton enjoyed time with his family this holiday season, and appears to be in good spirits amid a life-changing diagnosis.

This Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, the 71-year-old singer and songwriter shared a photo to Facebook, in which he is seen wearing a Santa hat on the couch, joined by four of his family members.

"Sending warm wishes for a holiday season filled with peace, love, and joy," wrote the "Soul Provider" hitmaker in the post's caption. "May the New Year bring health, happiness, and countless moments to cherish."

He continued, noting his mantra for the year ahead. "Here's to fresh starts and beautiful moments in 2025!"

The post comes almost a year after Bolton was diagnosed with cancer. Back in January, the two-time Grammy winner shared in an Instagram post that he had learned he had a brain tumor right before the holidays. The tumor required surgery, which Bolton revealed was a success. However, he noted at the time that he would be taking a hiatus from touring.

"I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me through the years," Bolton wrote at the time.

In March, he shared another update, noting that he's "healing well and doing better every day" and "enjoying the company of [his] daughters and grandkids during this time at home."

With his latest holiday photo, it appears Bolton is optimistic about 2025 and beyond. Last month, he announced a photo book compiling 40 years of photos taken over the course of his career by photographer Timothy White. The book is set to publish in February 2025.

In July 2025, Bolton is set to perform a special one-night-only show at the O2 Arena in London.
