Japanese actress Miho Nakayama posted about 'being to hell and back' in her last post before her death.
The Love Letter actress, 54, was found dead in the bathtub at her home in Tokyo. When the star didn't turn up to work on Friday, a member of her team went to her home to check up on her but they found her unresponsive when they arrived at her residence. Miho's team member called emergency services, but upon arrival, there was nothing they could do to save the star.
Her death was confirmed at the scene and it is now being investigated by police. According to local media, the Metropolitan Police Department stated that there is a possibility she could have drowned. Other reports claimed the police also suggested that her death could have been an accident or caused by an illness.
One day before her heartbreaking death, the J-Pop star shared a picture on her Instagram page from a modern art exhibition in Tokyo she attended in recent days. She took a picture of a piece of work by French artist Louise Bourgeois. The art was a framed piece of cloth with the words: "I have been to hell and back. And let me tell you, it was wonderful," stitched on it.

It also confirmed that her cause of death has not yet been revealed. Miho was due to perform at a Christmas show in Osaka today.
However, the event was cancelled a number of days before her death as she reportedly told organisers that she was in poor health. The Japanese actress leaves behind one son, who she shared with her musician ex-husband Hitonari Tsuji. Their son had been in his custody at the time of Miho's death.
Fans have been mourning her death, with one woman who was going to attend the event telling NHK: "I liked her since I was a teenager. She was always sparkling and beautiful, and I have many memories of imitating her hairstyle. I can't believe she has passed away, and I want to see her again."
Another person said of the beloved actress :"She was the same age as me, and she was a great source of strength to me. I can't put it into words, so I'm very sad and disappointed that she has passed away. I want to tell her, 'Thank you for everything.'"
