Mike Tyson Recalls Sharing A Sex Partner With Friend, Both Dying After AIDS Diagnosis

Mike Tyson is continuing to keep it brutally honest with the world and himself, recently opening up about a romp involving a male friend and a woman who later died following an AIDS diagnosis.

Tyson shared the revelation with old friend Rosie Perez for Interview Magazine, where he explained his belief that he is divinely protected due to his peers meeting early fates.

Hey, life isn’t over yet. We’re still fighting. We only make it out on the day of our death,” Tyson told Perez. “There’s no way I should be here talking to you right now. All my friends are dead.”

He continued, “They OD’d, they had AIDS. Me and my friend both had sex with this girl at the same time and they both died of AIDS. I didn’t catch AIDS. Raw, too.”

Perez, shocked at the reveal, responded, “That’s crazy. You have a spirit hovering over you,” to which Tyson replied, “Amen. It’s something, sister.”

The interview also found Tyson revealing what ultimately made him agree to face YouTuber Jake Paul in the ring for Netflix, telling Perez that the hallucinogenic effects of smoking toad venom led him to believe God wanted him to come out of retirement.

“You rub it down until it become fine sand, and then you smoke it. Then you meet God. And this is what God told me to do.” He added that he first smoked toad venom seven years ago with the help of a shaman. Check out the rest of the Q&A here.

Tyson is set to fight Paul tonight (Nov. 15) at 8PM EST on Netflix.
