Meredith Marks is usually our unproblematic, glamorous, no-nonsense queen but she’s sharing how behind-the-scenes she’s been going through all kinds of dramatic ups and downs at home. Meredith and her family have appeared on RHOSLC since season 1.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is filled with surprising marriage revelations this season. But, one person who remained quiet on her relationship, probably because their drama was years back, is Meredith. The reality TV star shares a lot of her life on screen, but now lifts the lid on her marriage on Nick Viall’s podcast.
Meredith Marks dishes on her marriage
Delving into her relationship, Meredith explains how she and Seth Marks have been married for 28 years.
The RHOSLC star says the two separated at one point in their marriage and almost got divorced.
Speaking on The Viall Files, she says: “We were separated multiple times over years. When we were almost getting divorced, when we filed was when the kids all left the house and that became a time where it was kind of like… there’s no reason to stay together anymore.”

She adds how it was a “filing that never went anywhere,” and they opted for therapy to get their relationship back on track.
The ‘communication was broken’
Despite opting for therapy and couples counseling during their marriage, Meredith explains how she and Seth thought “…it’s not going to happen” with things working out.
But, the RHOSLC star explains how they found an “incredible new therapist” who “taught them how to communicate with each other.”
Once Meredith and Seth’s communication issues were on the mend, the two continued in their marriage.
She says they “learned how to be respectful of each other’s feelings and started to communicate deeply again.”
Meredith laughs about probably being the only person who can say “Real Housewives coupled with COVID saved her marriage.”
She adds how she and Seth are “stronger than ever” these days, despite having a “tough year” this year due to their work commitments.
