Miquita Oliver reveals her first kiss was with high-profile ISIS terrorist ‘Jihadi George’

Miquita Oliver has shared that her first kiss was with ISIS terrorist ‘Jihadi George’ who went on to behead and murder hostages.

Speaking to Lily Allen on their Miss Me? podcast, the Popworld host revealed that while she and George, real name Alexanda Kotey, were pupils at Fox Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea, London, they shared a kiss.

Kotey moved to Syria and joined a terrorist cell known as ‘the Beatles’, before being captured by Kurdish forces and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2022.

‘Do you remember who my first kiss is? It’s Alexy – mixed-race Alexy from Fox. And do you remember what happened to Alexy? He became Jihadi George,’ Oliver told Allen.

Laughing, Allen replied: ‘She does pick ’em. It is kind of crazy that your first kiss ended up there. That’s pretty mental.’

Oliver ended the conversation saying it ‘wasn’t her story to tell.’

Kotey embarked on a series of hostage-taking missions for Islamic State before working as a recruiter, sniper and ‘English media department’ officer for the terror group.

His captives included American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, whose beheadings in 2014 were shown on the Internet and international TV.

After his capture, Kotey pleaded guilty to the murders of Foley and Sotloff, and aid workers Kayla Mueller and Peter Kassig in 2021.

In total, he pleaded guilty to four counts of hostage-taking resulting in death, one count of conspiracy to commit hostage-taking resulting in death, and one count of conspiracy to murder American citizens outside of the US.

During his trial, Kotey admitted to inflicting torture on all the hostages – who were captured for their Western accents – including waterboarding and electric shocks with a stun gun.

Judge Thomas Selby Ellis described his actions as ‘egregious, violent and inhumane’ but praised the victims and their families as ‘undeniably heroes’.

Kotey was stripped of British citizenship in 2018, although he could be returned to England after 15 years to serve the rest of his sentence and face new charges relating to other victims.

Alongside Kotey, El Shafee Elsheikh, known as Ringo, was also captured and imprisoned.

The ‘Beatles’ terrorist cell also included Mohammed Emwazi – known as Jihadi John – who was killed in a US air strike in 2015.

The other member was Aine Davis – known as Paul – who has been jailed in Turkey.
