Miranda Hart has kept details about her wedding and her husband private ever since she announced the happy news in 2024 - but she's now left fans very happy after sharing sweet moments of the big day.
And she's revealed that there was one song in particular that left family and friends in floods of tears when she married her surveyor husband Richard Fairs, 60.
The comedian, 52, told Radio 3 show Private Passions: "We sang it at our very small wedding. 'Initially, it was, like, 'Are we really going to do this? It's such a naff idea.' And the minute everyone started singing, people got so emotional and were really going for it with the beauty of the song."
Miranda continued: "Now it just makes me cry, and makes me think of the happiest day of my life as well." She also admitted that she had "given up" on the idea of marrying before she met Richard.

Miranda shocked fans in October after revealing she had secretly gotten married while appearing on The One Show. She remained cryptic at the time while discussing her relationship but confirmed that 'someone put a ring on it!' Miranda happily explained she found 'her person' at the age of 49 while battling chronic illness. She said: "I'm married, I got married at 51 and it's just so lovely! I'd written Gary for onscreen Miranda and it wasn't until I was 49 that I met my person.

"The fact that I met someone during a pandemic, during chronic illness, when I couldn't get out of bed or out of the house... I really, really wanted to meet someone, I didn't want to do life on my own anymore," she said. "The fact that I could meet somebody, it's not some some of romcom story but it's hope. Whatever situation you are in, there is always hope, things really do change."
During the same interview, she spoke about her chronic illness. Speaking to the hosts, she said: "It's not been the most pleasant few years, I've mainly been in bed or housebound with chronic illness, so it's been a tough few years, nearly decade, which is what my book is charting. It's so nice to be back in the television, I'm so excited to be here. Once you have been bed bound with a fatigue-base chronic illness which takes a long time to diagnose, you miss life a lot so I'm thrilled to be here."
