Tommy Fury has delighted fans with charming photos of his daughter Bambi on Christmas Day, amidst Molly-Mae Hague's admission of feeling "mentally heavy". The ex-couple, who parted ways in August, shared custody of their young daughter over the festive period.
Molly-Mae, 25, spent the morning with Bambi before Tommy, also 25, took over for the afternoon. In a video he posted, Tommy is heard asking, "What is it Bam Bam? " as an excited Bambi shouts, "Horsey! " He described the moment as "The best feeling" and went on to post images of Bambi joyfully opening another present, a Curious George stuffed animal.
As she hugged the toy monkey, Tommy expressed his delight, saying, "I think she likes him. I was correct" while Bambi affectionately kissed her new toy. The boxer also uploaded a picture of Bambi giving him a kiss by the Christmas tree, capturing their special father-daughter moments after starting the day with her mother.
Earlier that day, Molly-Mae had expressed gratitude to Bambi for "bringing the magic back to Christmas", but also shared her struggles with the festive season, feeling 'really deflated' during her first Christmas since splitting with Tommy. On Christmas Eve, speaking candidly to her followers, Molly-Mae revealed that the holiday season had heightened her emotions, stating: "When you've got things going on in your personal life it can really make it feel 10 times worse."
This Christmas marks a stark contrast to last year's festive season for Molly-Mae Hague, who spent it with her then-boyfriend Tommy Fury. The couple shocked fans when they announced their split after five years together in the summer, reports the Mirror.
Molly-Mae admitted that she had been feeling down and struggling mentally over the past few days, which had led to her filming less as she didn't want to project "fake happiness". She confessed to breaking down in tears on Monday night and not feeling "in the Christmas mood".
She said: "I have been feeling quite mentally heavy over the last few days. And I've been struggling a bit more than I usually do. I don't really know why - well I do know why actually. But I just have found the last few days quite challenging mentally and I have been quite down to be honest and I haven't felt like picking up my camera."
She added that she would never pretend to feel a certain way on camera, saying: "And even if I had picked up my camera it would be like fake happiness and fake giddiness about Christmas and I would never come on and act a way that I'm not feeling."
Molly-Mae also revealed that this was the first Christmas where she truly understood how the festive season could bring up emotions and be a sad time for some people. She concluded: "It's so sad when people say that Christmas brings up emotions and for people it can be a really really sad time of the year and I feel like I've been so blessed in my life, I've never really felt that way at Christmas, it's always been a really positive time for me."
"But I feel like this is the first Christmas ever where I can really understand what people talk about when they talk about how it really makes you feel."
