A woman was left baffled after she recorded her child playing and noticed what appeared to be something pulling her leg.
Justice Tew (@justicetew2), 23, from Idaho, spotted something strange about her daughter's movements when she replayed the recording.
In the video, the girl crawls around, and one of her legs randomly ascends into the air.
"I was watching her dance and play with her toys and so I recorded like I am always doing, and I noticed something off about her movements so I stopped the recording to rewatch and noticed that it looked like something pulled her," Tew told Newsweek.
"I felt a little scared and worried so I immediately started praying over her and the house."
Tew uploaded the video to Tiktok, along with the on-screen caption, "Did a ghost just pull her leg?"
The clip, which included the caption, "Can someone explain?" garnered 304,700 likes and 5.9 million views on TikTok.
"Social media blew up and told me to cleanse and move out mainly," Tew added.
Some comments under the video show viewers spooked by the scene, weighing in on whether the leg movement was a result of some kind of paranormal intervention or not.
"Ok so when this happens, usually it just means you need to pack all your stuff and leave like yesterday. Hope this helps!" said Erika.
However, a number of users thought the child's movement was just a result of her getting to grips with crawling, and lifting her leg to stabilize herself after losing balance.
"Looks like her other knee slipped and she tried to catch herself from falling—if that's wrong I was just helping you be able to sleep at night," wrote one viewer.
"Comes from her left arm, causing her to stagger and try to stabilize with her right leg. Don't worry," said another user.
"After looking at this a few times the baby's left arm lost balance an she stoped herself from falling thats why her leg went up," suggested a different viewer.
"She lost balance and was trying to right herself," wrote another.
Crawling is a critical developmental milestone that supports a child's physical and cognitive growth.
According to The OT Toolbox, there are various types of crawling, including belly crawling, hands-and-knees crawling, and bear crawling, each offering unique benefits for motor coordination and sensory processing.
Observing a child's crawling patterns can reveal important details about their development, which could be helpful in understanding movements like those seen in Justice Tew's viral video.
