Katie Price and Carl Woods speak about their relationship ending

Katie Price was pushed to the brink during her extensive rounds of IVF.

The former glamour model documented her journey to becoming a mum again during her relationship with former car salesman Carl Woods in a new Channel 4 programme. Carl and mum-of-five Katie dated between 2020 and 2023, with their relationship often hitting the headlines. However, they appeared to brush off all the drama surrounding them and became engaged to be married in 2021 after she said "yes" for the seventh time.

During their turbulent romance, the couple had planned on welcoming their first child together. But in a heartbreaking twist, their gruelling rounds of IVF failed and it appears they took their toll on Katie. During filming, Katie crumbled as she revealed that their engagement was over and Carl had "blocked" her.

In the new documentary, she revealed she was led to believe that a donor egg would be placed into her uterus in order for her to have another baby. She explained: "And him now decide 'Nah, I'm just going to block her'." Carl later appeared, saying: "It's the hardest decision of my life to tap out on it.

"She will just think I'm out of order 'He's left me when we're having a child,' it's not about that at all. It's not about that at all. It's about having stability in my life, kids need a stable home, there's no sign of it changing. I don't have the fight left in me, I fought for three years."

"It's so crap," Katie said, as she added: "That I still have to take these IVF tablets 'cause they said I couldn't stop it last week, if I do, it will mess my periods up and I might not come on for months. I'm not with Carl." Carl later explained: "I never wanted it to go this way, the IVF journey is hard anyway, really difficult with the drugs and the mood swings.

"It's been absolute hell, I've sat on the end of the bed, I've cried to her. I have done everything I can do, the only last thing is to walk away." Katie explained that Carl believed her "promises" to move areas were "broken promises." Katie added that her hormones had been rocked due to the ongoing treatment during the IVF process.

Despite their heartache throughout the journey, Katie told the camera that she would have "loved" to have had a child with her former fiancé and have a happy-ever-after. But ahead of the documentary airing, Carl explained he was far from happy with the decision for it to be broadcasted after their split.

Speaking about the split, a source close to Carl told The Sun: "Despite being a year on, Katie still emotionally haunts Carl and new relationships have been tricky as he still recovers from her cheating and lies." At the time, friends said that Carl was "totally supportive" of Katie but now believes that the show shouldn't air as he didn't want "reminders" about his time with Katie and had been working to try and forget their relationship and engagement.
