Lorraine: Strictly's Nadiya & Kai reveal what's next for them
Nadiya Bychkova has said she is "taking control" of her dancing career and insisted on wanting to "try new things" following her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Ukrainian dancer met her ex, Kai Widdrington, Strictly Come Dancing in 2022 and fell in love. However, their once passionate relationship cooled earlier this year, leading to a split after two years. Nadiya shares a daughter with ex-fiancé Matija Škarabot.
Speaking at Fake Bake’s Blue Monday event, the TV star opened up about new projects. Nadiya is also performing as a solo supporting dancer at the Strictly Live! Tour, but will not be dancing with her celebrity partner Tom Dean.
“I’m going on my tour for Evenings with Nadiya in February, but it’s spread out, which is nice as it allows me to do other things at the same time. It’s very different from what I’ve done before," she revealed.
"It’s more intimate, but it will also interact more with the audience, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m creating a lot of it myself, so it’s nice to be the person behind it all as well as the face.

"It allows me to take control and be creative with something I’m proud of. This year, I want to try to find new ways to showcase what I love to do on stage. It’s interesting to be in those footsteps of directing the show - and that’s what I want to do more of.”
Since their breakup, it's reported that the atmosphere between the exes had become frosty, with rumors suggesting they were avoiding each other as much as possible behind the scenes on Strictly.

Fans of the beloved series have picked up on a subtle dynamic shift, spotting that Kai and Nadiya have consistently been positioned at opposing ends of the set during appearances together - leading many to speculate that the Ukrainian dancer might bow out after joining the professional cast in 2017.
In the 2024 Strictly season, Nadiya was partnered with Olympic swimmer Tom Dean, but they faced the embarrassment of being the first pair to be voted off.
Following her elimination, Nadiya took to the internet with a heartfelt tribute to Tom Dean, expressing gratitude amidst the disappointment: "I want to say thank you for all the amazing messages tonight."
