NBC News Unveils White House, Capitol Hill Correspondents Amid Trump Transition

NBC News is adding new correspondents to its White House and Capitol Hill lineup.

Peter Alexander will continue to serve as chief White House correspondent, leading the network’s coverage of the Trump administration. He will be joined by Garrett Haake as senior White House correspondent. 

Haake previously covered Capitol Hill for four years and President-elect Trump for more than two years and recently nabbed an exclusive phone interview with Trump. 

Yamiche Alcindor and Vaughn Hillyard will serve as White House correspondents. Hillyard has covered Trump for more than two years and Alcindor covered Trump during his first presidential term.  

Kelly O’Donnell and Gabe Gutierrez will continue their roles as senior White House correspondents, and Monica Alba and Aaron Gilchrist will remain White House correspondents.

The digital team will include Peter Nicholas, senior White House reporter, and Katherine Doyle, White House reporter. Henry Gomez, Matt Dixon and Jon Allen, who covered President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance throughout the campaign cycle, will take on additional responsibilities covering the new administration. 

On Capitol Hill, Ryan Nobles will take on the bigger role as chief Capitol Hill correspondent. Nobles joined NBC News in 2022 and has had exclusive access on a congressional trip to Taiwan, reporting live from Taipei and led network coverage on Hunter Biden.

Scott Wong, senior congressional reporter, and Sahil Kapur, senior national political reporter, will continue to lead coverage of Capitol Hill on digital. Julie Tsirkin remains Capitol Hill correspondent covering the new Congress.
