Nelly Furtado poses without make-up and in a bikini without hiding her extra kilos

Singer Nelly Furtado surprised her followers with a post on her Instagram account in which she appears in an orange bikini, but beyond the photos, the Canadian's intention was to send her fans a message of acceptance of their bodies.

The beginning of 2025 was a time for reflection for Furtado, with a long text posted on her Instagram account, in which she celebrates self-love, accompanied by a couple of photos she took in front of a mirror, while posing in an orange bikini.

"Have a neutral body 2025, but most importantly, love with every inch of your heart... Thank you for all the memories this year," Nelly Furtado began her message.

The 46-year-old singer-songwriter shared with her fans some of her learnings from 2024, a year in which she became aware of the aesthetic pressure of her work and experienced new levels of self-love. She also said that she took legal action against those who sell online health and beauty myths with her image, before detailing that she has never undergone any facial or body surgery.

"For those who care, no I've never had any facial or body surgery or enhancements, besides veneers on my top row of teeth, recently.

"So far, I haven't had any face or lip injections or fillers of any kind, but I have a loving old-school facialist from whom I buy serums and creams and I started that when I was 20. The day before photo shoots and red carpets, I drink a lot of water and sleep on my back," continued the Grammy-winning singer.

Nelly Furtado explained that in the photos she shared she was not wearing makeup and that the photographs were not edited or filtered, but she took the opportunity to reveal some of her secrets to look spectacular on the red carpet or photo shoots, with facial or body tape, as well as makeup.

"Makeup can do magical things! Also beautiful eyebrows! Also a great hairdresser! Also beautiful underwear!

"In these photos I have no makeup and there is no editing or filters, but I do have artificial tan. I have varicose veins and they remind me of my mother, my aunts and life, so I think that's why I haven't parted with them until now," wrote the 'Say It Right' singer.

To close her extensive caption, Nelly Furtado clarified that with her post she does not intend to hate anyone and closed with a forceful recommendation to her followers: "My New Year's message for 2025 is to express yourself freely, celebrate your individuality and know that it's okay to be okay with what you see in the mirror, and it's also okay to want something different. We are all little adorable human beings just bouncing around the earth looking for hugs."
