Nicole O’Brien has been flying the flag for Ireland worldwide ever since skyrocketing to fame on Netflix dating show Too Hot To Handle in 2020. These days, the proud Cork woman has swapped reality TV for music as her career continues to flourish at home and abroad. Here, Nicole chats to RSVP about her favourite things, from her must-have beauty product to childhood memories with her father.
Ideal weekend
My perfect Saturday is having a lie in, watching some TV and then heading out for some lunch and a few drinks. On Sundays, I love going out for a walk, followed by a roast dinner and then I’ll head to a flower market to buy some fresh flowers. Bliss!
Beauty product
At the moment I love Sculpted by Aimee’s Eye & Face Palette. It has everything you need all in one palette which is ideal for travelling. The quality is amazing and of course it’s Irish which is a huge plus! I love using Irish brands as much as I can.

Podcast
My Therapist Ghosted Me is my go-to! Whenever I need a bit of company cleaning the house or that comfort of Irish accents living in London, I throw it on. Vogue and Joanne are absolute queens.
Childhood memory
I remember seeing U2 in Croke Park with my dad. It’s a core memory and I will forever be a massive U2 fan.
Song
Is it cheeky to choose my own? Even though ‘Cherry’ is my latest release I have it on repeat. It hypes me up in the morning to get going and gives me that little boost of confidence when I need it.
Dream career
I’d love to do criminology. This is definitely due to the amount of true crime documentaries I watch. Throwing on a crime doc is my idea of a relaxing night. I’m aware that sounds a bit psychotic…
Style icon
Zendaya has amazing style! I’m also loving Sabrina Carpenter's rebrand. Whoever her stylist is needs a raise!
I’m at my happiest when
I’m in the studio making music. It’s like a therapy session for me. Who needs a therapist when I have producers? They know my deepest, darkest secrets at this point.
Celebrity encounter
Probably meeting Dua Lipa at the Barbie premiere last year. I was heading to the bathroom and bumped into her. We both complimented each other on our dresses and I nearly died. She’s an icon.
Dream dinner guest
This is a hard one! I’m going to go with Hugh Jackman, just so we could reenact the Greatest Showman. That’s my comfort movie for sure.
Nicole’s new single Cherry is out now.
