Nicky Byrne has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late father on the 15th anniversary of his death.
The Westlife star wrote: “15 years ago, Nov 3rd 2009 we lost our Dad. Thinking of him today He was a great man He was a great Dad. He was just great X”.
The singer’s father, also named Nicky, passed away suddenly following a heart attack at just 60 years old.

Alongside the caption, Nicky shared an emotional video of people speaking about their fathers.
At the start of the video, one man said: "You know, he was my dad. I think every kid thinks like that about his dad.
"His dad is - like your dad's your protector. Your dad is like, the coolest guy in the world."
Another person then says: "As you get older, you know, when you're a kid, you don't necessarily understand or even appreciate what your dad is trying to do for you.
"But it's only when you get older, you step back, you move out the house, maybe even start a family on your own.
"You start to really realise, what that man meant to me. My dad, what he tried to teach me, all the lessons."
And the next person said: "Who's my hero? That's a great question. Well, I think my dad is my hero.
"Because he's someone that I look up to every day. My dad."
His post then ended on a quote that read: "Hey dad, just wanted to tell you that I miss you. Until we meet again."
