Nicole Kidman, known for her versatility and dedication as an actress, recently opened up about the challenges she faced while filming her latest movie, Babygirl.
Nicole Kidman's candid confession
In the R-rated holiday drama, Kidman takes on the role of a powerful CEO entangled in a risky affair with a young intern, played by Harris Dickinson.
But while the tagline of the film promises that you can "get exactly what you want this Christmas," the filming experience was far from easy for the actress.
At 57, Kidman admitted that certain scenes became too intense to handle, leading her to take breaks to regain her composure.
In particular, the intimate scenes with her on-screen husband, played by Antonio Banderas, and her character's young lover proved to be emotionally exhausting.
"There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration," Kidman explained, according to The Sun.
"It's like, 'Don't touch me.'"
The scenes often took an emotional toll on the actress, who added,
"There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don't want to orgasm anymore. Don't come near me. I hate doing this.'"
The physical and emotional demands of the role, she revealed, left her feeling drained.
"It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout," Kidman confessed, adding humorously, "I don't care if I am never touched again in my life!"
Dickinson, 28, also noted the challenges during filming, mentioning at a press event that he too needed moments of solitude on set.
"There were times when I'd just tell everyone to go away for a second," he said.
Babygirl, with its steamy narrative and complex relationships, offered Kidman a chance to explore new territory in her career, but it's an experience she might not be eager to repeat.
"It was an area I had never been to in my career," she said.
"Now that I've been there, I'm not sure I want to go back."
