As reported before, the Switch successor is indeed called the "Switch 2" and looks like a refined model of the existing handheld. The trailer confirms that the console's Joy-Cons will use magnets to attach to the tablet, and the right Joy-Con includes a mysterious new button.

As for the tablet, it includes a U-shaped kickstand at the back and two USB-C ports. The dock has also been redesigned to have curved edges. Nintendo also confirmed that the console will play original Switch games natively on the Switch 2.

Nintendo didn't reveal any details about its launch lineup, but the trailer does show a Mario Kart game being played on the console. The company will announce more information about its games during a special Nintendo Direct presentation in April. However, previous leaks and rumors point to games like Mario Kart 9 being in the launch lineup.

Nintendo didn't announce the console's price, but it's expected to cost close to the original Switch's price. Don't be surprised if it ends up costing $399 USD.
