A passenger on a long-haul flight decided to put his boredom to good use and make a sweet treat for his fellow flyers.

Singaporean Muhammad Nurakif Bin Sanuan, or @akifkeith on TikTok, was flying from Rockhampton, Australia, to Singapore in September and decided to make mini strawberry cheesecakes for fellow passengers on the flight.

"I got bored on the flight back from my overseas reservist so I decided to do Strawberry Cheesecake Crackers," he wrote in an overlay on the video, which showed him sharing his treats with Royal Brunei Airlines flight staff.

"During the long flight back ... I decided to create strawberry cheesecake crackers using both the ingredients I had along with the plane snacks for myself and my mates," he told Storyful.

"The flight crew were amazing enough to accommodate me and even assist in prep."

Newsweek contacted Muhammad Nurakif Bin Sanuan for comment via TikTok.

Documenting the creation of the mini cheesecakes, Nin Sanuan went viral and gained nearly 700,000 views and over 30,000 likes on TikTok. The video shows him smiling with staff as he uses crackers, cheese, and strawberries to make his mini treats, revealing the delight on the staff's faces when they got to taste his creations.

He then takes a tray of them to share with the friends he was flying with.

He wrote in the video's caption: "Me exploring the idea of becoming a flight steward and serving the nation with @Singapore Airlines."

"The greatest crew we could ask for," he added in a text overlay on the video.

Bin Sanuan was one of the millions of passengers around the world who took flights in 2024. According to Statista, the global airline industry is expected to have performed over 38 million flights in 2024 before the year is out.

Bin Sanuan received a slew of comments under his video, with people sharing their thoughts and reactions.

"Wait we can do this on plane?" Mastura asked, to which Bin Sanuan replied: "Not sure about others! But I asked for permission for this. Anyway, usually I know I can help myself to snacks/water at the back galley after food service or during snack time!"

"You are so random, I live for this," said Brin.

A TikTok user with the name ZamieParis commented: "Please be on my flight next time."

"Let me know where you're flying. I want to be on that flight," Introvert Insane wrote. "Ok, I will apply to be a flight attendant," Bin Sanuan joked in response.

When one person asked for the recipe, Bin Sanuan replied: "Nothing fancy, just strawberries or berries of your choice, crackers and soft cheese. I used their cheese triangles. Try it."
