Google-owned YouTube keeps on bringing features and enhancements for users to enhance the online video-watching experience. The platform has now introduced a feature that will alert its users whether or not the video, event, or music they are watching on the platform is available in 4K. This will ensure that end users are getting the highest quality viewing experience.

As per a report from Cordcutternews, the tech giant is making it easier for subscribers to enjoy their favorite music videos, events, or any documentary in the highest quality. Previously the subscribers who had a 4K Plus add-on subscription would have to look or remember which channel is streaming in 4K. But YouTube has made things easy and they will receive a pop-up notification at the top right corner of the screen. The notification will alert you whenever the 4K quality is available for the event or video.

The YouTube 4K Plus offers extra viewing options to your YouTube base plan and you can view DVR recordings offline for available content which is only limited to mobile devices. The subscription offers several enhancements. Here’s how you can simply add YouTube 4K plus to your membership:

You just have to head straight to the settings of your YouTube and then go to membership in the YouTube TV app. The YouTube 4K Plus is priced at $9.99 per month. Additionally, the feature also adds unlimited simultaneous streams. The simultaneous streams will allow you to download recordings allowing you to watch them offline.

If you are not seeing the 4K notification pop-up, then just wait for two or three days, the account will be updated soon.  If you have not paid for the add-on, then you don’t need to upgrade right away because the feature will gradually roll out for the normal account holders on YouTube.
