The Best Original Song nominees for the 2025 Oscars are in. The Academy’s selections in the category are “Mi Camino” and “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez, “Never Too Late” from Elton John: Never Too Late, “The Journey” from The Six Triple Eight, and “Like a Bird” from Sing Sing. The Oscars ceremony, which takes place on March 2 at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, will break from tradition by airing behind-the-scenes insights on the making of the songs in place of live performances, Variety reports.

The category’s pre-nomination shortlist was revealed in December, with a number of songs that did not receive final nominations. Those include tracks by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Kneecap, Robbie Williams, Kristen Wiig, Saoirse Ronan and Nicholas Britell, and Pharrell Williams & Princess Anne High School Fabulous Marching Cavaliers.

Last year’s Best Original Song winners were Billie Eilish and Finneas, who netted Barbie its sole statuette with their song “What Was I Made For?”
