Outlander fans rage 'it's not enough' they're left fuming over Claire and Jamie twist

In recent episodes of Outlander, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) was horrified to learn his wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe) had married Lord John Grey (David Berry) as they both believed he'd drowned at sea.

While Jamie and Claire have reunited, with Lord John taken hostage by the British army, viewers have been left disappointed by the lack of screen time for the leading characters.

As the official Outlander Instagram account shared a clip of the pair, fans flocked to beg for more of their story.

The account posted: "What a coincidence, I choose Jamie and Claire always, too. #Outlander."

One fan replied: "Then PLEASE give them more screen time, particularly screen time together! They are the heart and soul of the show!" Another added: "We do too...do Sorry not enough Claire and Jamie in this episode!!"

"They’re getting so little screen time this season, it’s sad! I miss them so much. There’s a lot going on, so many stories, that Jamie and Claire’s story feels left behind," a third complained.

Another begged: "If you choose them it would be nice to show them more in the show. 10 minutes broken up throughout 55 minutes isn’t enough."

Thankfully fans were thrilled as the show shared three new pictures of Claire and Jamie as he prepares to start his new role as General for the American army.

The pair can be seen holding onto one another in a snow-covered field with Jamie in his uniform and Claire in a berry coloured wool coat.

"Did somebody ask for new Claire and Jamie pictures? #Outlander," it was captioned with fans sharing their thanks for the new photos.

It comes after actress Caitriona reflected on her role as Claire over the years. She told Harper's Bazaar: "My relationship with Claire has completely evolved over the years.

"In the beginning, you were filling in all of these blank spaces of her history and her memories and then, as the years went on, you're living it, you're creating them in real time.

"And so, in a way, you know, without sounding weird, she lives within you. I think more than anything what I realised is, for me, personally, what an amazing teacher Claire has been."
