P Diddy’s son’s recent "careless" decision may affect his father’s trial.
Sean Combs’ son Quincy recently posted a video showing his father completely topless and has faced backlash from fans. Combs was arrested on 16 September and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, charges he “categorically denies”.
In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, celebrity PR specialist Kayley Cornelius explained that Quincy’s bold decision may impact his father’s upcoming trial. She said: "There’s definitely a chance that the decision to share these clips could have a knock-on effect on Diddy’s ongoing trial.”

“While the clips themselves may not be directly incriminating, investigators could use them to build a character profile of Diddy. This could be referenced against the allegations and ultimately play a role in his final sentencing."
Kayley also said that the move could “seriously backfire” on the “entire family”. She explained: "In PR, timing is everything, and while there was never going to be a good moment for archived footage of P Diddy to surface, Quincy’s decision to release these clips during an ongoing trial was definitely ill-advised.”
"His video has undoubtedly added fuel to the fire, but it also risks pulling him and the rest of the family into controversy. Many have already called this move ‘tone-deaf’, and now people may start questioning how seriously they're taking the situation. Additionally, it could open the floodgates to more conspiracy theories and accusations about their knowledge and possible involvement.”
Kayley branded Quincy’s decision as “careless” and said that the best approach would have been to “stay silent and lie low” given the “seriousness of the matter at hand”. Although it would have been “impossible” to “entirely eliminate the negative repercussions,” it is crucial that those involved “control what they can in order to minimise the backlash” and “wait for the situation to de-escalate”.
However, this strategy “can only be achieved if all close sources are on the same page”. Kayley said: “The moment a new angle, perspective, or piece of information emerges, it drags attention straight back to the scandal, and that’s exactly what’s happening now that Quincy has carelessly included these clips of his dad in his recent vlog.
