Paige DeSorbo shut down speculation that she broke up with Craig Conover after catching wind of his proposal plans.
“I’m obsessed with all of this fan fiction,” the “Summer House” star wrote Wednesday in the comments section of a TikTok video from Bravo gossip account Up and Adam.
The TikTok creator claimed he heard DeSorbo “knew” that Conover “was about to propose” to her, so she “caught him off guard,” “called it quits” and “ruined the proposal.”
In a separate video, the same user claimed DeSorbo “cheated” on Conover with an “internet personality,” though he did not reveal who. “See you in court,” DeSorbo responded in the comments, seemingly denying the allegations.
Ever since DeSorbo, 32, confirmed that she and Conover, 36, had broken up earlier this week, fans have been trying to figure out what exactly led to their split.
DeSorbo previously claimed that their “very sad” breakup was amicable and occurred after they each realized they had changed and saw their lives going in different directions.
“I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends,” DeSorbo said during her breakup announcement on Monday’s episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast.

“No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing,” she continued. “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
DeSorbo added that she still has “so much love and respect” for Conover and still considers him “one of the best people” she’s met in her “entire life.”
“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. Like, I can truly say that,” she said. “He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it almost is harder when no one’s done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard.”
Despite her compliments, DeSorbo maintained that they still made “the right decision for both” of them to split after three years of dating.
Conover has yet to address the breakup and has mostly stayed off social media for the last few days.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted him spending New Year’s with his close friends, Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky, in an Instagram Story the latter shared on Wednesday.
