Patrick Kielty has responded to Eurosong concerns in previous years as he teased the set changes viewers can expect on The Late Late Show's special tonight.
Viewers have complained about sound and space issues in recent years, but the RTÉ star defended the show.
He also didn't rule out a standalone Eurosong special in an external venue such as the 3Arena or the TF Royal Theatre in Castlebar in the future.

Patrick told RSVP Live: "The team that put show together here, every department in here, I think I'm biased, but I actually think they are world class.
“Sometimes, when you go to big arenas, you can have as much of a problem with the sound as you have on a smaller venue."
The set tonight will also look different from the regular Friday shows following on from last year's swanky appearance.
Patrick said: “We have got a slightly different set, and we've added a little bit to what we did last year, so I think it'll look a little bit different.”
He would love to see Eurosong being held in an external venue away from the RTÉ studios.
The father of two said: "That sounds like fun as somebody who is used to sort of playing theatres and different things,
"But I think because we do it differently [to other episodes of The Late Late Show] and we take our set out, I kind of feels a little bit more like a live gig. I wouldn't be against that."
He added: "Anything bigger and better is always fun. Tonight, if you see the audience that we have got, I don't think you are going to be short of noise."
Patrick would love to see Ireland hosting the Eurovision next year.
He said: "I remember when we used to win it in the 90s, the whole the thing was if we would be able to host it two years in a row or three years in a row.
"It is a showcase to the world and there are so many eyes on it.
"If you look at the quality of acts and venues we have here, I have no doubt that if someone was lucky enough to go there and bring it home that we would put on a show."
The Late Late Show Eurosong Special will take place tonight on RTÉ One at 9:35pm.
