Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy has unveiled a new hair colour at the UK premiere of Small Things Like These.
The 48 year old actor, who plays Bill Furlong in the film, was seen sporting flecks of blonde, grey and dark brown in his hair. The film is based on Claire Keegan's best-selling novel about Ireland’s infamous Magdalene Laundries.
Murphy's character, a coal merchant, uncovers the horrific treatment of mothers and babies by a convent in New Ross, County Wexford, leading him to challenge the complicit silence of a small Irish town under the control of the Catholic Church. At the premiere, held at the Curzon Mayfair, Murphy donned a mustard-coloured jacket and khaki shirt.
Other stars gracing the red carpet included Emily Watson of A Royal Night Out fame, Eileen Walsh from The Magdalene Sisters, Anne-Marie Duff known for The Virgin Queen, and Stanley Tucci of The Devil Wears Prada fame along with his wife Felicity Blunt.
