Pete Davidson has not returned to rehab, despite reports stating the contrary, according to The Bachelor alum Maria Georgas.
“Just spoke to his sister, he’s not in rehab has been sober for months,” the reality TV personality, 30, wrote via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 19. “Can’t believe this s–t it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He’s literally home.”
Maria shared the post alongside another one shutting down rumors that she and the comedian, 31, had been in a relationship.
“Never dated Pete. False rumor,” she wrote. “I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”
Maria’s statements came after reports circulated on Monday, November 18, about her rumored relationship with Pete and his alleged return to rehab.
“He checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” a source told The U.S. Sun. “He flew in on a private jet.”
The insider continued, “He’s in pretty bad shape this time around. He’s not in a good place.”
The source also claimed that Pete’s check-in was “very recent” after he attended The Room premiere in Los Angeles with Machine Gun Kelly on October 24 and made a cameo on Saturday Night Live on November 2. The King of Staten Island star was also reportedly spotted at a restaurant in Kingsport, Tennessee, on November 5. However, he has not been seen publicly since, according to The Sun.
Pete previously checked into a wellness facility for his mental health in late July, People confirmed at the time. A source told the publication that mental health has “always been a priority” for the SNL alum.
His decision to seek treatment came after he performed more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows across the U.S. During a show in Omaha, Nebraska, Pete stormed off the stage.
“Pete had a standup performance in Omaha, but the crowd got to him so he walked off before finishing his set,” an insider exclusively told In Touch on May 23. “He was getting relentlessly heckled by some people in the audience. Everyone is making a big deal about it except for Pete.”
The comedian has been open about his stints in rehab to treat both his mental health and addiction struggles in the past. In September 2023, he joked about his “post-rehab glow” during a show with John Mulaney and Jon Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The actor had checked into rehab earlier in the summer to treat his borderline personality disorder condition as well as PTSD, multiple outlets reported in June 2023.
“Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening,” a friend told Page Six at the time.
“I have to get my meds re-adjusted all the time. I have in between bipolar and borderline and PTSD and s–t from my childhood, so I have to go and get re-adjusted every once in a while,” Pete told Charlamagne Tha God in 2017. “I don’t think going to rehab is that big of a deal. I think it’s like a really strong, powerful thing.”
