Phaedra Parks Reveals Why Apollo Nida Is Not Allowed Inside of Her Home

2 weeks ago 5

On the latest episode of Married to Medicine, we got a glimpse into the Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida’s co-parenting journey. They’ve come a long way since that one time on Real Housewives of Atlanta when they were fighting in Phaedra’s garage.

Although Phaedra and Apollo have a positive relationship for their children, it isn’t perfect. Phaedra admitted that her ex-husband isn’t allowed inside of her home. It might sound extreme, but according to her, it’s for good reason.

Phaedra Parks has a firm boundary with Apollo Nida

Phaedra and Apollo share two kids, Ayden and Dylan. It feels like just yesterday when Phaedra was on RHOA struggling to explain Ayden’s due date. Those kids are 14 and 11 today!

During Season 10 of M2M, Phaedra made the surprising admission that Apollo wasn’t allowed in her home. He returned to the show during Season 11, Episode 3, and Phaedra shared that there were no changes on that front. He still isn’t allowed in the house.

“Apollo’s not allowed in my house because … I don’t want that energy in my house,” she shared in a confessional. “We’re trying to successfully co-parent, and he’s crazy.”

He might be crazy, but Phaedra knows it’s important for the kids to have a relationship with their father. She’s setting a boundary for herself while keeping her children a priority.

“Apollo and I have been on-and-off romantic since 1995. We’ve had our ups and downs, but I want what’s best for my children,” she explained. “And at the end of the day, I’m raising young African American boys, and they need to have a relationship with their dad.”

The boys live with Phaedra full-time and spend weekends with their dad. On M2M, Phaedra dropped off the boys before heading out on a cowgirl glamping trip. Coincidentally, Apollo had similar plans for their boys.

“We’re thinking about going camping,” Apollo shared, before remarking about keeping the hungry youngsters well-fed during the trip.

Married to Medicine airs new episodes on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
